Their lives quickly became a roller coaster of trying to survive the heinous realities of war and the heartbreak of being rejected by your own country. Being called a baby killer was too much for him to bear. So one day he drove a couple miles away and rigged his car so that he would die by asphyxiation. After missing for hours, Cindy made yet another frantic phone call to police to find her husband. When police found his vehicle, the interior was melted but there was no body. About that time the door bell rang and what Cindy saw when she opened the door was straight out of horror movie. His Tipping Point… Phil lived but his pain continued and one fateful night he found himself in jail. It was a night that would change his life forever. The arresting police officer, also a veteran made a phone call and when back up arrived so did Phil’s salvation.
